Toftrees Golf Resort

Great staff, very clean, room finishes were dated and need refreshing. Bathroom was newish and very clean. Good value Don't bother leaving hotel for a meal, the attached restaurant was excellent meal and service

Beautiful place! We had an event Saturday night, and it was awesome to be able to spend the night right there. Nice room with a nice balcony and a wonderful big counter in the bathroom. We did have some water stains on our ceiling (3rd floor). It would have been nice if the tv had a Netflix option, where we could sign in, as many hotels do these days. And the "club room" (paid extra for that) was supposed to sleep 3, but I don't know where a third person would even fit. We were glad it had a fridge, but the freezer in it had no door, so it didn't keep our ice creams frozen. We did not try the coffee in the room as I refuse to use powdered creamer - not sure why they couldn't have those little containers of cream that were at the party Sat night, as well as in the lobby. So I went to the lobby to get us coffees. They had a great espresso machine! There were stairs right next to the lobby which we used, but don't know if there are elevators anywhere for those who need them. The food at the event was delicious. We dined in the restaurant Sunday for breakfast. However, we were SO disappointed that (no menu in the room) when we looked it up and at the menu, it turned out to be a buffet instead on a Sunday. Nothing on the website about any buffets, when we had our mouths set on the meals listed online. The food in all the warming trays was cold when we arrived shortly after 8am (so not as if it had been sitting for hours), I mean the french toast strips were literally cold to the touch, the eggs were not hot enough to even melt the cheese for them. There was a nicely stocked table with fruit, yogurt, bread, cereal, etc. The best part was that there was a lit fireplace on the cold morning with a table right next to it, so we sat there, which was wonderful. The staff was friendly and great. And it was quiet but yet close to the University. Great location.

I love the setting of the resort and very close to the university. Love staying here when we come to the football games.

I have been to Toftrees twice for a state conference over the past five years. The food there is PHENOMENAL...we had a breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet as part of our conference and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The venue is older and very unique...a mid-century modern building with some quirky ways of getting around the building, but that added to the charm. The flowers and golf course are beautiful and well-maintained. There is a back patio with an outdoor fire pit that is awesome. My room was on the third level and had a patio overlooking the entrance that I loved. The patio also has a screen door, so for those (like me) who do not care for air conditioning, it is possibly to enjoy the night air with the patio door open. The room was comfortable, appeared clean, and had all the amenities I needed, including a refrigerator. Members of my group remarked about how wonderfully quiet is was there - we all slept well in the comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and helpful. I got to know Chris at the front desk...he always greeted me in the morning. There is coffee available 24/7 in the lobby - LOVED that option!!! I had a wonderful stay and would come back again for business or for pleasure. (And, I don't even golf!)
