Hotel Max

Just what I needed to be able to stay in the city to work late. The room was small but it worked and I got a kick out of the shower in the closet.

I was initially told I couldn't check in even 30 minutes early, when I asked about it a couple days before my arrival. I was told it would be an additional $50 charge and if I didn't agree, I'd have to get ready for my work event (the purpose of my stay) in their public bathroom since I couldn't use my room. This seemed lame and like they were being ridiculous rule followers, but when I came to check in they had a room and it was no problem.

Great downtown location handy for monorail, Pike Place Market, shops and coffee shops. A modern boutique hotel with a good atmosphere and a music theme throughout the hotel. We stayed in a standard double room which was on the small side but had all the amenities we needed such as safe, fridge, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and most importantly a comfortable bed. The room could do with more storage especially some hooks for hanging up wet towels and shelving to store items near the sink. Each night there is a happy hour in the lobby serving a free local beer, a lovely touch and nice to chat to other guests and staff. Also coffee served in the lobby on a morning another nice touch. The staff are all pleasant, friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed chatting to Steven (general manager) at the happy hour about the Seattle area. A great well run hotel, I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends/family

Location was perfect walking distance from shops and cafes

I stayed here a few nights. My biggest thing is next time I stay here, and I will stay here again, is I will spring for a pricier room for a larger bathroom. To me the location, atmosphere and amenities are a trade off. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the morning coffee was such a nice experience to sit and people watch. From my room I had a good view of the street below and a mural. I'm very sensitive to noise, and was the room right across from the elevator, but this never bothered me. The place is quiet, they provide some really effective earplugs, plus the wall HVAC unit provides a steady stream of brown noise.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful.

The bathroom has no counter space so I had to apply makeup and do my hair at the desk with my own small mirror

What a great experience. I got to the hotel very early, but I was allowed to check my bags and they offered to text me when the room was ready. I got back to the hotel a couple of hours later, and surprise, the room was ready. I was given a great corner room in the front of the hotel. Alex helped me with directions, secured my bags, and remembered me when it was time to get my bags again. I wish I asked for the girl's name who checked me in, because she was very kind and efficient. The hotel is located in a great area, with numerous restaurants, coffee places, shopping etc, close by. Each floor of the hotel is dedicated to a period in rock n roll. The 5th floor is dedicated to the grunge era. Each door has concert pictures covering it. Rock music plays in the lobby and there is rock memorabilia on the walls. Super cool.

There was quite a bit of noise from outside. Between yelling pedestrians, ambulance/police sirens and honking horns, it was sometimes hard to hear the TV or to talk on the phone. But, it was a saturday night and Seattle is a city, so noise is expected. Interestingly, the hotel provides ear plugs in the room, that I did not have to use to sleep. I either grew accustomed to the noise, or it ended after I fell asleep. I also didn't like that breakfast wasn't served. I do not think there is a restaurant in the hotel. But it wasn't a big deal, I walked 2 blocks to Relish and had a great breakfast off property.

Location was great for what we had planned to do in the city. Staff was excellent. Vibe was spot on. I wish our room was in a different location as we just had a view of the building next door. But we had a great time. Would stay there again
