Motel 6-Alexandria, LA - South

The only positive aspect was the location — it’s centrally situated in Alexandria and easy to reach nearby stores and restaurants.

The door lock didn’t work properly and felt unsafe. There was a strong unpleasant smell in the bathroom, and I even found crickets inside the room — one of them kept me awake around 5 a.m. I called the front desk at night, but the staff on duty was extremely rude and dismissive instead of helping. She insisted there was no noise and refused to check the room. The overall cleanliness was poor: the bedsheets were never changed, the furniture was old, and the atmosphere felt neglected. The staff’s attitude made the experience even worse. And also small cockroaches were crawling on the bed.

They had roaches.

Price was great

Went to walk upstairs with my kids to our room and the check-in lady was smoking a cigarette and my son had bananas and she asked my child for a banana kind of found that ridiculous that the staff would be doing that

Dead roaches in microwave and fridge. puke (i think) on wall outside of bathroom. Oily substance on entire floor.

The room was tidy. The floor was dirty, but the room was critter free. Unfortunately, the mini-refrigerator still had items from the previous occupant and the items had spoiled and mold had grown inside. I used my cleaning supplies to remove the mold and wipe it down. I left baking soda inside to remove any lingering odors.

I travel to Alexandria frequently for work & stay at the Motel 6-Studio 6 on McArthur Drive. Rooms are spacious, clean & sanitized. It gives off cozy vibes like an extended-stay home away from home on an affordable budget. Can't beat the price! Parking lot has lots of lights & security cameras. It's easier to see your vehicle & you feel safe during your stay. The managers & staff arewell approachable, people-oriented, children-friendly & are always available to help you address your concerns. I enjoy those random conversations over hot coffee. Located close to everything...convenient stores, shopping, restaurants, hospitals, dental offices & the like. On those long tired days, when you just don't feel like dining-out, you can order in from the menu provided in your room.

1st room: bed wasn’t made, room hadn’t been cleaned 2nd room: filthy 3rd room: BLOOD stains on the pillows! Our only other option was to sleep in our car. So we slept in our clothes on top of the blankets and used the towels that we had to go get(none in the room) as a pillow. The ONLY good thing was that the staff refunded us our money for the 4 nights we had originally reserved.

It's nice to stay at a place where the atmosphere feels welcoming & staff greet you with a smile & great service upon your return. The rooms are clean & comfortable. Safe for repeated working travelers. Parking lot provides much light. Management is awesome. I woukd rather not stay anywhere else.
