Residence Inn by Marriott San Jose Campbell

We were traveling as 2 couples with a dog. The second story loft bedroom and second bathroom were good for our group. Good proximity to downtown San Jose attractions, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was okay but not great.

We were given differing information by different staff members regarding breakfast information (it was not as good as we were originally told), access for our dog (different from what we were originally told). Also, the kitchen in the unit had very limited plates and utensils. Also you had to walk all the way to the office to get ice which wasn’t great considering it was raining. But the biggest issue for us was that we had to pay $150 for our dog for a 1 night stay. They say it covers up to 5 days but I had that discussion when I initially called the property. But this was the only property near downtown that had a room to accommodate 2 couples and a dog. Based on all of the above I would likely not stay here again.

I been to this Hotel twice first time was a problem we had ask for a suite, they mess up !! Fine we argue the point but they didn’t took care of us. This last time. I made my reservation through the 800 #. I specifically ask not to give me un studio with a walking shower and that I needed it a bathtub I got the room I requested, the closest door was broke, the tub was dirty with a circle around disgusting!! It smells like mold ! Plus when i checked in THEY NEVER TOLD ME THAT I WAS GOING TO BE CHARGED $150.00 in case I damaged something!!! Really? Is damaged enough! What are tgey talking about? I couldn’t sleep because I couldn’t stop sneezing 🤧 all night long. If they are going charge $530.00 instead of $375.14 they need to let customers know!! I didn’t appreciate this kind of surprises!! I feel that they are very unprofessional disrespectful and incompetent! And dirty Il never go back They need ti clean the Mold and renovate this Hotel for the price is not worth it

Location set up of room

Well the coffee cups were dirty coffee from guests before us were still in cups 🤢 so there were not washed just put back on the shelf

size of room and location

needs more phone plug ins near beds. Difficult to plug in cpap and phones at same time.

The location was convenient. The laundry facilities worked great.

We ended up with an accessible room, which was awkward and inconvenient. I pulled a chair into the bathroom so we would have a place to put our stuff down beside the sink.

Breakfast was good. there were options for everyone.

there is no vending machine so only what they provide as snacks. I think there s/b more options

We needed a hotel in the Campbell area at the last minute to be able to spend Mother's Day with my mom, who is well into her 90s. When we arrived tired, at 11 pm to check in, we were warmly welcomed, and then given a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite. It was so nice to fully unpack and unwind after a busy day in this spacious two-level suite. The complimentary breakfast the next morning had everything we could want for a quick bite. In short, our stay at the Residence Inn San Jose-Campbell was just about perfect.
