This is a throwback to a different time. I regret booking this hotel. Whatever money I saved, it wasn't worth it. It's just a really old building, with thin windows and noisy AC units. First time i used the chain on the door in several years. The AC was set to 61 when we arrived. Too cold to even be comfortable. So cold that when you shut it off, any humidity you brought in upon arrival now dews up and dampens everything. The breakfast was... food. I chose dry toast. They don't even have anything resembling butter. It's not self serve. They kept the biscuits and gravy behind a server. The most unacceptable aspect was having the pool close at 8PM. To me, this means you just don't care about guests with children. I can look past old buildings and cheap owners. The pool is unsupervised and costs nothing. Why close so early? That's borderline false advertising.

A good hotel near Asheville A good value for my wife and I is: cleanliness, comfort, value, security and service. This hotel has all five, and that is why we stay there when we are near Asheville. There are many things to do in Asheville and this is good place for that, as it is away from a lot of the traffic and in a good location. There are also two meals served each day, which are included. I made a review of this hotel the last time we were here as it is always in good condition. Pool- yes; dining room- yes. Child and pet friendly- yes; Truck and travel trailer parking- yes. It is a very good place to stay.

this is a wonderful place to stay away from the busy activities downtown it is in a beautiful, peaceful mountain setting this is not a 5 star hotel but is is immaculate, comfortable and quiet the staff is wonderful on our first day we went to the pool and it was locked we called the office and almost immediately a nice gentleman arrived to open the gate the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful and the lady, Getta, who served the complementary breakfasts and dinners was absolutely charming we had a great time here nancy wolfe
