We had never heard of AKA Hotels, but it seemed to have good ratings and we took a shot. This place over delivered. Perfect location for our visits to George Washington University and Georgetown University on college tours. Service was excellent. Manuel was always smiling and helpful in the lobby area. Good food choices in the restaurant. Rooms were ample and well-appointed. A great choice and I join the many people who highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful stay at AKA Washington Circle. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The restaurant was cosy and served delicious food and drinks, and my room was thoughtfully set up with excellent facilities that made it very comfortable. I had an outstanding stay at the AKA Hotel in Washington D.C. during May. The rooms were absolutely beautiful — modern, spacious, and immaculately clean — providing a perfect balance of comfort and style for me and my team. The staff were incredibly welcoming, always greeting us with genuine smiles and professionalism. A special mention to Miss Ayu Siri, who was exceptionally attentive and professional throughout our stay. Her warmth and dedication truly stood out, and my entire team shared the same positive impression. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ajear, the manager (forgive me if I’ve misspelled his name), who showed great leadership and hospitality. His personal attention to detail and constant presence around the property made a big difference in ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food and dining experience were excellent — from the quality and freshness of the dishes to the efficient service and variety available. Whether it was breakfast or room service, every meal was enjoyable and well presented. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail at AKA Washington exceeded all expectations. It’s a place that combines luxury with genuine hospitality, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, whether for business or leisure.

It is simply the best hotel / property in D.C. New,Clean, Nicely Decorated Rooms. Brand New Coffee Machines instead of stupid Keurig! Balcony is a great option as you wish to get clean and fresh air.

We stayed at the AKA Washington Circle for several nights and overall had a pleasant experience, though not everything met expectations. The lobby is stylish and modern, and the customer service was truly excellent. Every single member of the reception and bell staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were always smiling and eager to help. To name a few, Manuel, Carla, and Aya were fantastic. My apologies for any misspellings or for not remembering everyone’s names—every staff member we met did a great job. Our room was stylish, clean, and well-equipped, though it lacked a bit of warmth. The location is excellent—there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, and it’s only a short walk to the White House, Georgetown, and the Foggy Bottom metro station. However, there were some drawbacks. We had booked a junior suite for three people (two adults and our 10-year-old child). The suite had only one double bed and a sofa that could not be converted into a bed. No extra bed was provided despite our booking being clearly for three guests. We requested one twice but were told it would cost an additional $50 per night. Instead, we were given two plain quilts and a sheet that didn’t fit properly—one meant to go on the sofa and the other as a blanket. As a result, our son ended up sleeping on the quilts, which really isn’t acceptable. Using quilts directly, without a proper bedsheet, also felt unhygienic. A reservation for a family should include a proper, comfortable bed for the child. There were also some minor inconveniences in the room, such as a towel rack positioned directly above the toilet basin so that the towels touched it when hung. The fridge was completely filled with astronomically expensive water, other drinks, and snacks, leaving no room for personal items. We had to take many of the hotel’s items out and place them on the table just to fit in a few of our own. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning, but consistency was lacking in smaller details. Despite leaving decent tips, small things were often missed—no replacement kitchen towel, tea bags and sugar not replenished, and our son’s makeshift bed on the sofa not properly made (which was understandable given the situation). It would have been a lovely touch to have at least a self-service coffee or tea station in the lobby. I was told there used to be one, but it’s no longer available. Finally, the air conditioning worked well but was very loud. In summary, AKA Washington Circle is a stylish, well-located hotel with outstanding staff, but the lack of a proper bed for a child, inconsistencies in housekeeping, absence of tea and coffee facilities in the lobby, and impractical minibar setup kept it from being a perfect stay.
