I appreciated the window air conditioning unit very much, as it provides fresh air into the room, what the split units do not allow.

A lift would be nice.

Very close to 7/11. Room was spacious.

Roosters crowing all morning and night made it quite annoying. No hair dryer or fridge or any toiletries.

It’s an old property and needs a bit of updating.

I didn’t like much about this place, except for the friendly and hospitable cleaning staff and the variety of TV channels. The rooms seemed clean. Unfortunately, our first TV in room 201 didn’t work. When someone came to fix it, the sound was very low, and the remote control did not work either. In the second room, 209, the TV was actually functional and the remote too.

1 No taxi drivers knew about this place because it actually has two names. RedDoorz apparently rented another hotel. Three out of three taxi drivers were unfamiliar with the location; the third one drove us there with guidance from Google Maps. 2 The guard at the door did not assist with our baggage upon arrival. Most of the time, he was engrossed in his cell phone, barely opening the door for guests. Unlike other Filipino doormen who go out of their way to help, this one seemed lazy. As there is no elevator, I carried our baggage up myself. 3 The woman behind the desk needs smiling lessons. She may be a good person, but lacks the skill to welcome guests. When I asked for help, needing to borrow a dish for our food, she informed me that all employees had their own dishes. 4 The café where breakfast is served had issues. On day one, I arrived at 10:15, expecting it to be open until 10:30, but the not-so-friendly desk woman said they had already closed and gone home. On day two, around 9 o'clock, she told me they hadn't arrived yet. Consequently, we never had breakfast there. 5 The area is not safe. A taxi driver informed me that this is a red-light district with prostitutes after dark. Additionally, it's an area with a high incidence of killings and robberies. Warning to those interested in the before mentioned red-light activities. 6 We had two rooms. The first, 201, had the worst window view possible (barb wire fence and brick wall), ants, a malfunctioning bathroom lock, and a TV without sound despite many channels. Room number two, 209, also lacked a lock on the bathroom door, had a permanently open and ruined bathroom window, and was therefore noisy due to traffic, day and night. This room also had some cockroaches. The last room had sheets with large yellow stains. A friendly clerk came and changed them in the evening after I complained.

Location was okay, near the south bus terminal and walking distance to plenty more areas. There is a 7/11 across the street.

Drains had a weird smell, when using the sink and shower. Shower head had no holder so it had to be held when showering. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable.
