RedDoorz Plus near WTC Batanghari Mall

The staff members are very nice, some of them smiling every time I met them. They also did everything to find me a better room when I asked them. I could also leave my luggage at the hotel free of charge. There are good options to eat and shop nearby, the Batanghari Plaza is just a few steps away with lots of eateries near the bridge.

The hotel's rooms seem to be rather dark, the windows face walls. Also quite noisy because of the air conditioners (from other rooms too, which you can hear all night). This is not the hotel's fault, but this part of Jambi is especially run-down, just walking in the streets makes you depressed. I spent a longer time in the city, and in hindsight, it would have been better to find accommodation in another district. The people, however, are very nice - but this is true for the entire country, I suppose. Indonesian people are some of the best!
