Was being remodeled but the rooms were done fresh and new.We checked in Friday evening and by check out Sunday the lobby was complete. Its gonna be really great when completed

The staff was incredibly accommodating.

The hotel was under renovation so it appeared only a few of the rooms were available. There were construction materials everywhere. The room we stayed in had new carpet, the AC was cold and noisy. At night we could not seem to regulate it. The room had 2 queen beds and one of the beds looked as though it had been spread up from the last guest, needless to say we didn't sleep in it. The 2nd bed was properly made with sheets tight and tucked. There was no trash can in the room, I had to use a walmart bag for trash. There was one small can in the bathroom. The bathroom had plenty of towels but a stack of them had a stray hair where the other guest had blow dried their hair and it had just flown all over the room. A good cleaner would have caught that. I dont think the cleaning staff are as diligent as they could be. The shower had random what appeared to be eyelashes on the side of the tub. We got there later so Im not sure what was going on. The front desk staff were awesome they were friendly and on point. Each shift the employees were great I didnt want to complain to them it was not their fault. Decatur/Huntsville is a great place to visit and the hotel was in a good location however, the cleaning staff should work on more thorough cleaning practices.

Arrived in the dark with no lights out front in a sketchy neighborhood. The parking lot had a couple of lights, but was too dark for the area. Lobby was clean, but that was the only clean area in the rest of the hotel. The hotel is under construction, which it totally fine. I have stayed in several hotels under construction, but this one was in complete disarray. Everything smelled weird, dirt and dust everywhere, our room had dirt all over the carpet and bathroom floor. The worst part was when our daughter stepped on a 2" screw in our room! Breakfast was not the greatest. I liked the mini waffle maker, but the muffins, bacon, biscuts, and gravy were horrible. My family opted to eat at a gas station instead. This hotel may be better in a few months once the construction is complete.

Under construction. Paid the price for a first class stay. Should have been discounted for construction workers everywhere, plastic on the floors and pool with no water. Could have stayed in downtown Gatlinburg $50 cheaper.

Let me preface this to say we have stayed here several times in the past and have had an extremely comfortable stay. This time was different because they were under renovation. Actually the hotel should have been closed until finished. We were moved 3 times to another room. There were no chairs, no phone and no alarm clocks in any of the rooms. There were no drawers. The extra lock on the door didn’t work. They were just incomplete. There were workers all over the hotel. One worker knocked on our door and we told them room was occupied. Another worker just opened the door without even knocking. Good thing we had the latch out to stop it from opening completely. They just seemed disorganized. Working helter skelter. So obviously it shouldn’t have been open for guests. Now the front desk staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. They were aware of our problems and did make very satisfactory adjustments to our bill which we appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast offerings were great. Just as it has been in the past. So I can’t recommend staying here during renovations. It was very good before and maybe it will be again after they are done.

The place is nice, quiet for the most part. Its currently under renovation. Breakfast was nice and a variety of options.

The price was good, but then I learned they currently doing a remodel. I wished they had been upfront with that or maybe I missed that.
