Lovely hotel, immaculately clean everywhere, friendly, professional staff and lovely large room overlooking the water, very comfy bed . 2 mins walk to the tram into town so perfect for a much affordable stay to see a concert at the AO. Couldn't recommend highly enough! Free parking too.

Habitación enorme, con dos camas muy grandes y comodísimas. Vista espectacular del canal a través de grandes ventanales. Todo muy nuevo y limpísimo. Recepción 24 horas, puedes llegar cuando quieras y dejar las maletas sin cargo alguno. Muy buena ubicación, a un par de paradas de tranvía del centro.

Location and breakfast

Not much of a welcome by reception staff. Room furniture is dated. Our shower was so hot you couldnt use it. We got moved to a new room which was good but that was after 2 conversations with reception. Should have been sorted quicker.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Copthorne this year. The location is perfect for a visit to Manchester. It is within easy walking distance of Media City, Salford Quays and Old Trafford plus there is a tram station (Exchange Quays) just across the road with trams to the city centre every few minutes. A huge plus for us is the large hotel carpark. Check in is easy and the reception team are exceptionally helpful, welcoming and friendly. Flavoured water is available at reception as are umbrellas -a nice touch! This time we were in a Club room on the fourth floor (for those of us from the UK, the ground floor is called the first floor in this hotel) at the back overlooking the water -lovely view and very peaceful. The bathroom had obviously been renovated (recently?) to a high standard. The rather dated tiles and shower curtain had gone and the bath has been replaced by a superb walk-in shower. There were dispensers for shower gel shampoo and (very pleased to see) conditioner as well as hand soap and body lotion. Loads of storage too below the sink. The bed was large and very comfortable. The spacious, airy room contained a large table with chair and reading lamp, a comfortable arm chair plus a unit posituoned below the television containing a fridge, cupboard space and a hairdryer. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were also provided. There were two large mirrors, with one placed perfectly to give you a lovely view along the waterside from the bed. Plenty of wardrobe space included a safe, an ironing board and an electric fan. We did not use the restaurant on this occasion but have in the past. The food was good, reasonably priced and the service was excellent. Breakfast (buffet style hot food and continental) is definitely worth the money. Overall a very comfortable hotel with a very good team who will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable visit.

Staff helpful Breakfast was great- lots of choice for the price. Parking was free. Bed was comfortable.

Room looked dated . Cracked tiles on the floor . It obviously needs money spending on it . View from the window was over the heating pipes / extraction system over the roof and was awful.

Buona colazione. Ottima location: parcheggio per l'auto + tram a due passi per raggiungere il centro.
