Our stay at this hotel was disappointing from the start. The front desk employee who checked us in was unfriendly, spoke so quietly it was difficult to understand her, and offered no warm welcome. Upon entering the room, we were hit with a strong mildew or sour odor. The sheets were stained, and it appeared that the ceiling had been painted over to cover mold. The bathroom was relatively clean, but we found a few hairs in the tub. Mirrors had visible handprints and stains, and the pillows smelled strongly of sweat — clearly not freshly laundered. When we asked for a replacement pillow, we were told the employee didn’t have access to any extras. We also reported the odor in the room, and she promised to send someone to spray. That never happened. No follow-up, no resolution — just empty words. The vending machine options were extremely limited and accepted only coins. The drink machine had no diet options — an issue for me as someone with diabetes. This lack of consideration for basic dietary needs is unacceptable. The ice bucket in our room had a suspicious, cheese-like residue on the lid, and we had to use a piece of plastic from a disposable cup to create a barrier just to use it safely. To top it all off, around 3 AM, the air conditioner stopped blowing cold air — leaving the room hot, humid, and miserable for the rest of the night. For the price, this stay lacked even the most basic standards of cleanliness, customer service, and comfort. We expected simple accommodations — not a health hazard.

Despite some major drawbacks during our stay, there were a few positives worth mentioning. The pool area was fairly nice and well-maintained — a good spot to relax for a bit. The complimentary breakfast was actually a pleasant surprise. It was fresh, well-stocked, and one of the highlights of the stay. No complaints there. The parking area was convenient and easy to navigate, and the overall environment around the property was fairly quiet, which made it easier to get some rest. The location worked well for the purpose of our trip — close enough to what we needed without much hassle. While the morning staff was the same as the evening staff and unfortunately continued the same pattern of being unwelcoming and distant (not even offering a simple “good morning”), the basics of the stay were in place: we had a place to park, a bed to sleep in, and breakfast in the morning. Given the condition of the room and lack of service, the price felt a bit too high for what we received. However, for a one-night stay and the convenience of the location, it served its purpose.
