St. Margaret's Hotel

We had our initial "help yourself" breakfast in the conservatory. We then went to the walled garden which was quiet and peaceful with feeders for the squirrels and jackdaws. It was like a Disney film with the encouraged wild life. Very relaxing so we spent one and half hours over breakfast and post coffees. Selection was excellent and topped up frequently.

Coffee machine was not programmed so if you selected Americano you only got an expresso portion. Did not mind as I like a strong coffee to set me up for the day. Not related to the venue but they had to deal with and dealt well with a very rude woman (The Entitled) over breakfast, who unfortunatly from their point of view was staying ALL weekend

A lovely older building. Roomy, with a view of the back garden.

There were a lot of perfumed scents, even on entering the lobby. We asked for a room with no scents and they said they tried to remove all scents, but it was still fragrant. We were able to open the windows to air it out which helped.

Large comfy rooms, very nice breakfast in a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

The room was large, clean and extremely comfortable. A lovely, quiet garden to sit in and location was excellent
