Americas Best Value Inn - Gainesville

Bathroom was very dirty, lots of hair and dirt in shower pan. Police were present for most of this night. The room was booked for 5 but only had 2 towels and 4 pillows. We checked in very late and they were able to accommodate a 2am checkin which is why I rated the service high. But we were unable to get an extra pillow. My husband slept with towels rolled up as a pillow.

It was quiet

Weird to check in through tiny probably 10x5 window. Was told they have not opened the lobby door for 2 years. The room was ok. Ceiling in the bathroom looks like about to fall down with patch job. Only 2 pillows on the bed and we asked if we could have a couple more and the front desk said no. The shower drain is not really working, half way through the shower water was overflown to the whole bathroom.

Most horrible experience, staff not even as adhering to safety demands. People doing drugs and drinking on premises, in front of room area. Hotel was room was trashed down, everything was dirty beds had huge stains, human hairs all over it, everything was rusted, and grime dirty. Took look and left, staff member didn’t care to even helping he said I don’t care, and walked away.

Nick was wonderful the check in was very helpful and fast and the stay was very nice and comfortable.. I will definitely go back when I’m traveling to Gainesville Florida.. like I said Nick was very helpful and very nice I really appreciate him so much..

NOT A THING

EVERYTHING It has been two weeks since our stay, and I still can't find the right words to explain how horrible this room was. There was no longer a lobby to check in at just a window with bars.There was a food truck in the parking lot across from our room. The room furniture had to have been 50 years old. It was disgusting. The bathroom was filthy, The bed sounded like a gunshot every time I moved. We checked out the next morning. We paid for and where scheduled to stay 2 nights. We then drive home 4 hours instead of spending another 250.00 for a room elsewhere. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. The pictures of this hotel on your website are very misleading.

I’ll never set foot on the property again.

You check in and check out through a blacked out window. Most of the people live there. No chairs in the room. I took a shower and walked to the bed. My feet were totally black and filthy! Would highly recommend not going there! Sketchy and terrible to say the least!
