Blue Way Inn Eagan Extended Stay

Had a pleasant stay here! The rooms were tidy, the staff was polite, and the overall experience was hassle-free. Great value for the price.

Great stay! The room was clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was friendly, and the location was ideal for exploring the area. Would definitely stay again!

Property appears to have been recently come under new management and previous management clearly stopped doing any maintenance a LONG time ago. 1st room I was assigned was missing a window. Screens were bent and did not close all the way. 2nd room was in similar disrepair. Had all the windows but did not seal properly. Screens were bent and also did not seal. Hair dryer was not mounted to the wall, was simply placed on the vanity next to the sink - very unsafe. Outlet in bathroom needed to be replaced as it was cracked and chipped. Refrigerator was new, but was oversized and did not fit under the counter and had styrofoam and plastic coating still on the doors and shelves. Breakfast was minimal. Staff was great and very accommodating.

I was checking in late and had already paid for the room thru one of the travel sites. When I got there, they asked for my card to have the numbers for the security deposit. I gave them my card and when they swiped it, a message came back that I didn't have enough room left. I was embarrassed and trying to figure out what i could do to satisfy the security deposit when the man behind the counter told me not to worry about it. He said it was late and I looked very tired and he would give me the benefit of the doubt and waive the deposit this one time. That meant i got to proceed to my room and get some much needed sleep. I was so happy and relieved.

I travel with a service animal. The person checking us on argued with us for 5 mimutes about it being a pet and they dont have any pet rooms and that he couldnt come with. Finally they went to the back to "check" and let us check in. The hotle is currently under renovation. We had to go through the swimming pool area, which was filled with broken furniture and tvs, with lots of power tools and wood laying around, just to get to the desk. The pool area was dim and unsafe due to nails and screws just loose on the ground. There was no carpet on the floor by the desk in the lobby and you had to make your way around the sticky glue stuff they used. By the next morning, carpet had been laid but breakfast was lacking. It consisted of bagels, toast, apples, or plain cereal. There was milk (it was icy) and juice. We had to leave the hotel and walk around the building to get to breakfast. I booked my stay many months ago, when the hotel was under a different company. When i booked, they advertised a pool and hottub. As previously mentioned, those were both completely full. The pool was the reason i selected this hotel compared to any others at the same price. Had i known the pool was no longer open, i would have canceled my reservation and booked elsewhere.

It was a nice property. First time staying here.

Beware ... hotel is in transition to new ownership. Current facility is in need of a tremendous amount of repair. Carpeting on stairs in need of repair. Indoor pool area not available (used for broken furniture storage). Door leading to outside of building not locked. Room had broken security lock on door, no sink drain covers, broken toilet paper holder, broken heater cover. TV only operates in TV mode (no HDMI), but you have to get desk person to come up with his remote to get it into TV mode. Wifi is not password protected. Staff is minimal. Housekeeping is minimal. Breakfast are a floor is often a sticky, gooey mess. Stay away from this place for at least 6 months.

Place is being renovated and is a dump

I would never stay in this place again.
