I did not like the room it was not as modern and up to date as the rest of the property

This is our second time staying at this hotel. We love the location and proximity to restaurants. We ate at Deck 3 times during our stay. Staff is friendly and attentive.

The location of the QK is very convenient -- I like to stay at the "zoo end " of Waikiki and it's good in numerous ways. The hotel is big enough to feel full-service, but small enough that I felt I got personal attention too. Both times I stayed there last week (with some island hopping in between) I was given a bit of an upgrade so had great views and a nice little balcony. The atmosphere of the hotel is chill yet polished, and especially considering that part of how I chose it was price, I was so pleased for it to be a great spot. The third-floor restaurant (Deck.) was terrific for two breakfasts over the week, and I even managed to get to the pool right next to it, where the vibe was not crazy, but I could tell still nice for families. In 25 years of traveling to Hawai'i, this was my first stay at the Queen Kapi'olani. But it definitely won't be my last.

Location was great. It’s near one end of the Waikiki beach stretch. So a little less noisy and crowded than the middle section of Waikiki. Room was always clean. Service was very good. It was fun to walk to the pier every evening and watch the very brave kids.

Rooms were clean, comfortable, and affordable. Guest services were prompt and helpful. The restaurants with in the hotel were good.

We had an incredible experience at the Queen Kapiolani. The hotel staff are amazing and the amenities are great! The pool and rooftop bar have great views of Diamond Head, and the hotel is ideally located 2 minutes walk from the beach! We also had a great experience working with Travis, the hotel concierge, who helped us book multiple excursions and ensure we were able to check everything off our Hawaii bucket-list. We booked a studio room with a city view and we woke up to the sunrise every morning behind the mountains. Next time we would book a slightly bigger room (just personal preference). We look forward to staying here again soon!

Only giving two stars because it was on the strip close to stores and across from the beach and zoo. But if you aren’t a local expect undeserved attitudes and comments. The only warm welcome person I spoke with was a really nice maid. And they add a $25 hospitality fee to your bill. The 3rd floor restaurant you can also expect bugs in your food then be treated disrespectful if you ask for help. Not a refund not compliant just help.
