MIMAR ALTEA VILLA l

I spent seven days at the villa in Altea and it was wonderful. The views were amazing, the pool was perfect, and the kids loved every moment. The villa was clean and comfortable, and everything went smoothly from start to finish.

The only thing I didn’t like was that while the rooms had en-suite bathrooms, the toilets didn’t have doors and the bedroom doors had no locks, which felt a bit awkward at times.

The pool needs work

We were stunned when we got to the villa and entered into its huge grounds. The main villa was fantastic, with all the rooms feeling much larger than the pictures show. There is an outdoor kitchen with toilet, shower and washing facilities and more than enough room for everyone to be together or to find their own private spot. Best of all was the privacy. It's not overlooked in any way at all. The facilities are excellent and a supermarket is 10 minutes walk away. The privacy and sheer size of the place, made it great for a family gathering. It is a little off the beaten track so I would recommend getting a car. Taxi from Albir is about €15 from Altea about €7

A welcome manual that gives basic instructions for the facilities would be really useful as we struggled with working out how to get the shower at the correct temperature and the oven working. The annex could do with a toilet and the pool needs a bit of a refurb. But all these things would just make the very good even better.

Lovely large villa with enough space for everyone.

Location was a bit out of the way and walking back from town at night was very unnerving as part of the road had no lights. The pool needed to be heated and the outside seating needs a good cleaning. Some English tv would also be nice
