Courtyard Tupelo

The hotel was great, but they charged my card for the full amount even though I already prepaid for the room. Now I have to wait "3 to 7 business days" to get the overcharge back.

Good standard Courtyard. Has all you need, Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Quiet location. The only thing that was a bit strange (as I have never seen that before): our room had some sort of balcony door letting out onto a very very small balcone (too tiny to put chairs on it). The door did not open. We were wondering if that is an architectural shortcoming of the building itself or on purpose. Strange but nothing to complain about. Location was perfect for us yet the street was not too busy so we got a good night's sleep.

Beds were very comfortable.

The beds were nice, soft and comfy. The bathroom was clean and they had black out curtains that actually worked. Staff was friendly. No complaints

I almost always stay in Marriott Courtyard hotels. Sadly, this particular property was not up to what I have come to expect at a Courtyard, and I was sorely disappointed. While the staff was pleasant, and my room itself clean, the windows were so dirty I could barely see my car outside. The pool was "green", probably from not enough chlorine, and definitely not what I wanted to swim in. The coffee was terrible - very bad tasting and cold. The muffin I ordered for breakfast was stale and frozen inside.

Everything was amazing, including the staff.

The location

At checkin in we were told the pool closed at 11:00, on a Saturday night they closed it at 9:30. The pull out couch is smaller than a twin size bed. The water in the shower didn’t get very hot. The evening staff at the front desk was very rude.
