Radisson Hotel Detroit Metro Airport

What we liked: Airport shuttle, clean and comfortable bed. Check in staff was courteous and friendly. What we did not like: Room: broken desk lamp, phone was completely disabled. Unsafe part: Had to call the desk using our cell phone but the line was busy. In room phone with access to the desk is a safety feature. We had to go downstairs for coffee creamer. Bathroom vanity was in terrible condition. The restaurant had been closed earlier in the day that we checked in. No reason given other than it was an issue. Guests checking in should have been called to inform them. Because this was an expectation, we should have been given a dinner voucher. Our room door was so finicky, the desk clerk had to manually lock it while we went somewhere else for dinner. My suggestion: Book another hotel.

Once the property is updated from the 80.’s it will be really nice. Thankfully the beds were comfortable.

I arrived to the airport and I was waiting for the shuttle more that an hour for it to come and it did not arrive. I tried to call the hotel but the line always gives me busy 😖😖😖the area around the hotel doesn’t seem very safe . Iam not sure if this is how is Detroit looks like .the hotel it self is not dirty but the property is old .

There was no hot water! That is pretty basic for a hotel stay.

The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They gave me all the information I needed. The shuttle was on time. Couldn’t ask for more.

First, I was assigned to a room under renovation with all the lights broken except one, lamp shades missing. So, I had to move to another room. Second, I had to return my rental car, so I informed the hotel staff that I would need a ride back. But the hotel shuttle never arrived during the 45 minutes I was waiting at the airport, and the hotel telephone was broken as well. So I had to Uber myself to the hotel. The staff acted as if I had bad luck and lightly apologized. Thirdly, the bath tub isn’t draining well. Carpet felt sticky.

Alright, nothing special

The shuttle was easy and convenient. In spite of planes flying around, you couldn't hear them, so your sleep was undisturbed.

The shower handle was broken and we could not take showers. The sink faucet handle also is tricky to operate and should be replaced.

Just wasn't what I expected from a once great name.
