Embassy Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown

Worst experience I have ever had at a Hilton, and we are Hilton Lifetime Diamond members, so we have been to a lot of Hiltin properties. We were there as part of an conference with blocks of rooms. Check in was at 4. We didn't get in to our rooms until 5:15 and missed the beginning of the conference. Even though we painstakingly submitted color coded blocks of rooms to staff months in advance, none of our groups were together. Andrew, the event coordinator at the hotel, seemed unconcerned. He stood on the balcony watching us all wait in the lobby. When I complained about our rooms being late, his excuse was that the hotel was full the previous night. That is no excuse! Countless hotels across the country especially in a big city like Indianapolis are full on a regular basis and still get the job done. The poor front desk staff had no idea what was going on. We asked if Andrew had communicated with them how the event rooms were to be organized. The front desk staff said they had not received any information from Andrew. I tried to contact Tom Moran, Director of the Front Office and got no response. I also tried to contact Michael Kauffeld, General Manager and got no response. The hotel does not care if you have a satisfactory stay. There are other nice places to stay when visiting in Downtown Indianapolis.

Came down for dinner and Will was extremely helpful. He had a friendly demeanor and very courteous. I had a nice meal in a friendly and welcoming environment.
