Zurich Marriott Hotel

Very nicely refurbished Marriott alongside the river and that is close to the old city. Dull external facade of the hotel does not reflect the upgrade that is apparent as soon as you enter the premises. The lobby area as well as throughout the hotel was filled with a fragrance that was pleasant and welcoming - nice. Check-in by the front staff was professional, courteous and efficient. Although I literally requested a room just 30 mins before I arrived and the room was available speaks nicely to their attentiveness. I had to move as my original reservations at the Citizen M was "cancelled" without opportunity to rebook for reasons that are still unclear to me. I was given access to the M Club that offered a great breakfast and snacks for many hours throughout the day. Assigned room was extremely comfortable and nicely adorned with fresh decorations and furniture - that all functioned well. Bed was very comfortable, climate control worked wonderfully as did the wifi. Bathroom worked well; shower provided voluminous amounts water and pressure that is appreciated by this guest. There were ample electrical outlets to charge the many peripherals and the working deck was of sufficient size to host virtual meetings. This Marriott exceeds my expectations - based on my experience of the same in the US.

THE LIFTS - Slowest on the planet

This is a lovely hotel in Zurich, conveniently located near Zurich HB station, just a 7-10 minute walk away. The breakfast here is simply amazing, and all the services are top-notch. However, there’s a minor issue with the elevators. Only two of them are working, which makes me wait a long time every time I need to use them, especially during rush hour. Another problem I encountered was a water leak in my room. They had to come and fix it twice, and all my belongings underneath were soaked.
