The Royal Sonesta Kaua'i Resort Lihue

Our 4th time in this hotel. This hotel has gotten better since it split from Marriott

My favorite beach/spot to be on the entire island. The beach is peaceful and beautiful to soak in. Plenty of loungers for guests. Walkable dining options. we went to all four parts of the island directionally- they’re basically same options so it’s nice to be in walking distance. Do keep in mind the all the hidden fees, well it’s not really hidden but just account for parking/valet fee and daily resort fee. Everything Adds up. (Especially if you just charge everything to your room, easy to get carried away sometimes heheheh) 10/10 most peaceful trip I have ever taken. Along with my favorite part of our entire trip we went to Oahu, Maui, and Kauai.

This place is absolutely beautiful! This stuff is all very welcoming and attentive to your needs at the drop of a dime. The views from any room I'm sure are amazing, the views from our room were absolutely spectacular. We will for sure be back!

Stunning property, great customer service, perfect location, multiple restaurants in walking distance. The only issue is the daily fee plus parking cost.

A lovely property with wonderful welcoming staff…each and every staff member was warm and genuinely caring. They upgraded our room which was a wonderful surprise My stay was cut short due to an accident on a hike. The staff were very accommodating. I will be returning one day!

Great pool and beach area! Hallways were extremely stuffy with pool ventilation and minimal a/c. Hit and miss with staff. Some were very nice and others seemed bothered. Late night flight so staying at Sonesta fit into our day best. Would we stay there again? Probably

Perfect location to explore the island. Resort amenities were fantastic. The pool is beautiful and the hot tubs overlooking the lush mountains and foliage. Awesome Resort. Plenty of food options nearby and on-premises. Room service is definitely a plus! Dukes restaurant is connected to the resort, making it easy access to great meals. Plenty of food choices within the resort as well. Picturesque spot perfect for couples, Business travel or families. I highly recommend staying here. The beach is a swimmable beach with calm water. The rooms were recently updated and immaculately clean. We had an ocean view /pool view which was heavenly! We will definitely be returning hopefully within the year .It was one of the best weeks of my life.
