Villa Dolunay

Spacious villa in a quiet location surrounded by nature, we really loved the swimming pool and garden with chickens. Very well looked after and once we got our bearings it was fairly easy to get to from Kalkan town centre.

The power cuts were really annoying, even with the automatic generator it just became a nuisance and made it hard to relax in the evenings. When the generator was on, the voltage was low, so lights were very dim. The power cuts happened every single day, throughout the day and night.

We stayed at Villa Dolunay several years ago as a larger group. We rebooked due to the quiet location & spectacular views from the mountains, as well as its proximity to Kalkan. Of course things change and the location and property gardens were noticeably more developed meaning not quite as peaceful or uninterrupted views as previously! Nevertheless, we enjoyed our second stay here. The property manager was very responsive when there was some miscommunications over our meet up and we became lost; he drove to meet us after locating us on a map! He and his team were also immediately on hand to supply a missing ironing board and later, make some minor repairs. The owners have invested in a table tennis table and table football games, along with an exercise bike since our last visit which was a plus for us. It was also fantastic that we experienced no power cuts at all during this visit.

There was missing or very old/unsuitable equipment provided for the table football and table tennis. It was a shame for these activities to have been invested in but not maintained. Although it didn’t impact upon us, we noticed that the villa can easily sleep 6, but despite this the general seating areas indoors are designed for 4. We found the pillows to be very firm which was uncomfortable for some sleepers.
