Upgrades in the lobby were visible and in the hallways.

Uncomfortable neighborhood. Hard bed! Dirty bathtub. Broken glass on door to outside. Bathtub didnโ€™t drain.

The gentleman at the reception was very friendly and provided excellent service.

The room and the entire hallway smelled of smoke, perhaps cigarette smoke or something else. The bathroom was a complete disaster, dirty and stained.
