Modern room. Old building had a lift. Beautiful restored beams from the old castle. Great heating in room. Free parking. Had a restaurant for dinner and breakfast, but had no time to use it. Amazing view over the whole valley!

Pillow was not comfortable. Bathroom had a smell of drainage.

The owner manager was very pleasant & totally efficient. He was maybe a little slow. The dinner was good. The choice for breakfast was ample, but obviously care had been taken that there should be no food wasted. The quantities available were just about sufficient. For Germany, very strange not to have any yoghurt. Tea was self-service, but the samovar didn't heat very well. Coffee had to be asked for and wasn't fantastic. Room was extremely quiet, very pleasant. Bathroom superbly clean and all amenities. Lift to reach our floor was interesting: taken into service in 1987.

Modern, comfortable, clean room with an excellent view overlooking of the town of Wetter, the Ruhr river and surrounding area. Room was updated to modern amenities and efficiency housed in an old world post medieval castle lodge-like setting, nesteled on a hillside. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices in the charactaristic European style. Our dinners on two occasions were exceptional in presentation, taste and quality, while the staff was professional, attentive and courteous in providing their services. We were impressed at the genuinely personal service we received from the reception staff and from the owner himself, Mr. Vorberg who personally saw to our needs and to those of other hotel guests. This location meets the highest of standards in the hospitality industry in a charming setting full of old world character.

It was in a quiet area in the mountains. Really nice views.

Extremely old fashioned. Lock for the room door was loose. Toilet did not flush properly and the bath was very slippery. Hairdryer also really strange and old fashioned also.
