Room was a great size, liked how secure it felt at entryways and plenty of parking

Car charging could’ve been a more competitive price, found it very expensive compared to other hotels we’ve been to

My first time here. I was going to Wolverhampton races and normally stay closer but that option was very expensive on a Friday night. The Spread Eagle is a large pub situated on a major junction on the A5. It a has large car park. The pub I imagine is quite old but the rooms are in a separate annex which is much newer. In fact it has many of the features of the large chain hotels but cheaper. I wasn't that well so avoided the bar and just had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast but what use I did make of the facilities gave me a very good impression.

Not really a complaint because most people would not be affected but a majority of the rooms are on the first floor and there is no lift. There are 18 stairs ( I have reason to note these details ). There are quite a lot of rooms on the ground floor which I imagine you could request.

The room was warm and comfortable. Really quiet and great location for what we needed .

The guy who checked us in was extremely rude . Walked past me without saying a word . Told me to sign a piece of paper and walked off.

Unfortunately, my partner who is a Falklands war RM Commando Veteran and I were turned away due to his support dog not having a licence to prove it was his support dog. Hotel could never understand how much my partner who has PTSD depends on our dogs trust dog for his mental health. Yes the dog was recommended by a medical professional and we went out to support rescue dogs that rescue Veterans. We were to stay only 1 night, but it was too much for Spread Eagle Marston, and we have booked a much friendlier and organised hotel.

Person who booked us in wasn't friendly at all just asked have you stayed with us before,then shoved a piece of paper to sign,No proper welcome as we have had before when Charlotte booked us in.
