Victoria Resort and Bed & Breakfast

Quaint and charming resort- a travel back in time! Loved the staff- so helpful and kind. The owner was so very nice- seemed to truly care about his lodgers. We were at a family reunion and this spot was a quiet and private escape when it became too crazy! We stayed in a tiny but perfect bungalow for two. Loved the quiet. Easy walk to the beach, sunsets and downtown. Had a great time!

When I found out that I had to supply my own toilet paper after what was already on the roll was gone, I lost it! I will not stay nor recommend this place to anyone. A/C was loud and the room was musty. Since we stayed in a bungalow, breakfast was not included. Electric car charging was a plus.

Where do I begin... So first off, we stayed at the resort one night in March. The premises are ok. I would give it a 7/10 at most. I just yesterday booked a room once again for two nights because I received an email for a BOGO night (email attached below that is very clear) for my anniversary. One night was $239, so I figured getting the other night free seemed reasonable. I booked with Elizabeth who was very friendly. She could not apply the BOGO since she had to get approval from the owner (Peter is his name I believe). She said the owner would get me a new invoice by the next day showing the BOGO. I did receive that email. However, it reflected only half off one of the nights only ($114.50). I called the next day and questioned why I only received 1/2 off one night and not a BOGO. I spoke to the owner this time. He said because we stayed one night already in March and are staying again so one of the new two nights will be discounted at 1/2 price. I told him that is not what the email said. He told me "He knows what the email said because he wrote it". I read him the email in case he was confused. His whole demeanor changed from relatively pleasant to condescending and downright rude! He started talking to me like a child. I told him to cancel the reservation and he hung up on me. I called him right back and questioned why he hung up on me. His response "you canceled your reservation...is there anything else you needed?" I told him that was very rude and he started yelling at me. I told him how unprofessional he was and ended the call this time. I was not going to argue with him anymore. My reservation was cancelled, but he charged me $5.40 credit card transaction fee. I will fight this fee with my credit card company as I am not going to give him a dime of my money. My family and I travel often and I don't think I have ever dealt with such a rude, arrogant individual! I will never come back to this establishment, nor do I recommend it to others. Look else ware if you want to be treated with respect.

Nice bed and breakfast. Resort well kept up. Smaller rooms are pricey and should be adjusted to match price for larger rooms. Jim and staff were very accommodating. Good location, only 2 blocks from the beach. Lots of parking. Firepit was nice.

We stayed in Cottage E and our stay was underwhelming for what we paid for. The floors and tables were sticky when we entered. The host said they can have the cleaning lady come back the next day and offered a bottle of wine. Next day, the host told us the cleaning lady had forgotten to clean that area. The kitchen items were not up to par. For example, one kitchen knife that was rusted. Cleanliness again was an issue. The beds were comfortable. Outside, most bikes were out of air or had some issue. The pool was a bit dirty with leaves and dead bugs but we still enjoyed it. The playhouse was dirty. The tennis court is not flat and unusable. Best part was the basketball court which we enjoyed.

Perfect quiet bed and breakfast

Beautiful property and it makes you feel like living in a classical old mansion type building. It’s also near to Lake Michigan - a walkable distance of 5 - 7 minutes.

We did the king deluxe & loved the room it was very clean & had nice amenities & the breakfast in the morning is also delicious

Couple of blocks to a beautiful beach with gorgeous sunsets and walking distance to downtown South Haven. Grounds are immaculate with plenty of things to do on site. Staff is extremely accommodating and responsive! Perfect place to stay and enjoy everything South Haven has to offer! Highly recommend!

the room ok but dated. took 5 minutes for water to get hot and toilet would hardly flush. the breakfast was good every monring.
