Landhotel Sonne Neuhäusle

One of our amazing stays. Let's start with a location that is close to the attractions in the Black Forest. At first we planned to stay 6 nights and extended to 8 nights. We got apartment number 33, insanely comfortable, spectacular view, quiet, clean, new, kitchenette that has everything. The most important thing is the warm welcome of the whole team. Courteous and friendly staff, kind, and available. Highly recommend . Best stay I've ever had.

The hotel is nice and big, Rooms were modern and conferrable, especially if you compare it to other old guesthouses in the black forest. Building had an elevator which is a nice touch (even though it didn't work the day we came with all the baggage). View is great from the balcony. Hot water in the shower and beds are comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped and lots of cabinets.

There is no stuff. The guesthouse is located at the back of a restaurant which is also the reception and the stuff. There is no one to talk to if you need something. The restaurant customers get priority and then the hotel guests. For example when the power went down for an hour due to weather conditions, there was no one to talk to because the "stuff" were busy giving the restaurant customers flashlight, and for the hotel guests - you guessed it - nothing. I got a free public transportation ticket as part of my stay, on my 9th day of stay out of 11. All the stuff beside one doesn't speak English so I had to go with my phone and use google translate. No cleaning was offered, for an 11 day stay you would have expected they clean the room at least once, fill the soap, change sheets. You have one closet in the hall which you suppose to use if you need anything but it only has toilet paper in it. It's like a self service hotel.

Great apartment with wonderful view. The restaurant with delicious dishes. The staff is very responsive and always helps. We enjoyed our stay a lot!!

Our apartment was very clean and spacious, with a beautiful view. The hotel is convenient to Titisee and Feldberg. The on site restaurant was very good.

This was probably the best hotel I stayed in during this vacation in France & Germany. It's in a lovely and isolated situation - a few kilometres beyond the actual village of Sankt Margen. The room was excellent - a decent size, with a huge picture window and a terrace with a marvellous view. A good bathroom with very good shower, a very comfortable bed. All the staff (particularly the lady who I think was the owner or manager) were most friendly and helpful, and I had a very good evening meal in the restaurant. The breakfast was also good. Car parking was good - plenty of room, and it was possible to back up the car to unload luggage nearer to the door & lift.

It is a quite minor point - but it might be useful to warn potential guests that the hotel is significantly outside the Sankt Margen village!
