"Great for the kids but not ideal for a large group"

6.0

Fun playpark and large animal petting area - the kids had a great time. Farmer Vic showed them all the animals and they could feed them. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook large meals.

For us, as the two houses we booked for our group were on opposite ends of the holiday park (we didn't know this when we booked), it made it a little harder to mix or socialise in the way we ordinarily would. There is no outside space directly outside the houses, so whilst the BBQ areas are great you have to walk back and forth to take all your food and plates etc there and back. We were 11 adults and 5 children, and really there is not enough space for everyone to gather comfortably. We had one kitchen / diner area between us all weekend. There is nowhere to walk directly from the property, you need to get in the car - so we felt a bit limited. Extra charges for BBQ kits (fair enough as it includes everything you need), but also extra for a high chair or early check in/ late check out. Other properties we've stayed at have had more of a personal touch where the host includes little extras, and we've definitely not paid for a high chair before! Also, I know the property is on a farm but there are so many flies. You couldn't open a window without several getting in. There is an electrical fly zapper fitted in the kitchen but it doesn't do much. Not the most enjoyable experience when cooking / eating indoors.

"Lovely stay!"

10.0

This was a lovely place! We stayed in the old milk parlour - it was a great space for a weekend of 10 of us. The place was super clean, had everything we needed like plenty of towels, good number of bathrooms; the kitchen had things like dishwasher tablets, salt/pepper/oil, kitchen roll etc. It also had an aircon unit which was amazing as it was quite warm in the house, even in October! The hot tub and outside area was lovely too. There is a little farm onsite & as we had a little one with us, we were able to ‘meet farmer Vic’ who showed us around, let us feed Al the animals and even collect and take the eggs from the chickens - a really lovely touch!

"An exceptional location to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday."

Location was stunning. Loved the small farm area where we were able to mingle amongst sheep, emus, alpacas, duck, chickens

We could want for anything more.

Vic went the extra mile to try to arrange alternative accommodation when the boiler broke - we really appreciated all that he did

"Great family friendly place"

9.0

The house was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The farm, playground and walks were perfect to keep children entertained and happy (even on grey rainy days). Feeding the animals and collecting fresh eggs for breakfast were highlights!

"On the whole, we loved it. We will be going back for definite!!"

10.0

Ideal for the kids with the park and the farm. Good location for travel. House was very clean and had all the amenities required, including wet room and disabled facilities which my elderly parents really appreciated.

Minor matter. It was extremely hot for one night of our stay and the fans provided, coupled with the window openings being restricted, didn’t really improve things.

"The perfect stay"

10.0

The surroundings are beautiful, Elliot house was lovely and the park was fab for our children. The best part of our holiday was taking the children to the orchard and feeding the animals. Farmer Vic was the most kind and lovely man and the children loved him and he went beyond to give them the best experience. We will definitely be returning!

Genuinely cannot say anything we didn't like
