Origin Lexington, a Wyndham Hotel

Awesome hotel. Area surrounding is really nice with lot of restaurants. Stayed for 2 weeks in Feb-Mar. Hotel bar is a great place to hang. Big thanks to Cleo, the Supervisor at the Reception for outstanding customer service, a great smile, and a unique name. Housekeeping did a great job as well. Had to extend my stay a few times so will be filing for bankruptcy soon. Highly recommend staying here!!!!

I tend to be selective when it comes to hotels, so I researched this property carefully before booking. Although reviews were largely positive, I was initially skeptical due to its association with Wyndham. However, my experience exceeded expectations. My husband was out of town visiting family, so I booked a solo staycation here with my two Shih Tzus. The pet fee was $50 per pet ($100 total), which I found reasonable for a pet-friendly property of this caliber. From the moment I arrived, the front desk experience stood out. Check-in was busy and a bit overwhelming, but the young gentleman assisting me handled everything with remarkable professionalism and awareness. He was efficient, informative, and clearly attentive to guest needs. He provided details about the property and surrounding area, offered a 20% dining discount for Expedia members, and ensured the process was smooth despite the lobby activity. Shortly after settling in, I accidentally locked myself out of my room while dealing with my dogs. The same front desk associate quickly issued replacement keys without hesitation. Later, he personally called to apologize after noticing my earlier request for a lower floor (which I prefer when traveling with pets). Although first-floor rooms were unavailable, he offered to move me to a lower level and even assist with the relocation. Ultimately, I chose to remain in my original room, but the gesture reflected exceptional customer service. The hotel’s design is thoughtfully curated and distinctly Kentucky-inspired. Equestrian photography, bourbon-themed murals, and artistic nods to the state’s mining heritage create a boutique atmosphere that feels modern while celebrating local culture. The property feels both stylish and authentic—an impressive balance. The location is outstanding. Situated at The Summit at Fritz Farm, guests are steps away from upscale retailers, boutiques, restaurants, and green space. The development has a walkable, mixed-use feel reminiscent of Pullman Square, with shops and dining easily filling an entire weekend—or longer. The room itself was modern and immaculate, with a beautiful skyline view. While I initially thought there was no refrigerator, I later discovered a compact mini-fridge concealed within the cabinetry. It is small but sufficient for a few beverages. One aspect I found less favorable was the tipping prompts within the Wyndham app for various hotel staff roles. While I fully support tipping restaurant servers and bartenders, I believe hotel compensation should primarily come from the employer rather than placing additional expectations on guests. It’s a minor point, but worth noting. Overall, the property is pristine, well-designed, and supported by truly attentive staff. My stay was comfortable, stylish, and stress-free. I would absolutely return. 10 out of 10.

The location and the decor.

How cold it was in the restaurant. Plus all the kids running in tge hallways. They would knock on our door and run away. The kids was yelling in the hallways at 3am.

The location and vibe was great.

There was no hot water so none of us were able to shower. Honestly an offer for a partial refund would’ve been appropriate. There was no mention of it.
