We had a nice stay, the bed is comfortable, it’s clean, the location is great the owner and his brother are friendly people. We think it’s good value for your money in Mirissa

The towels were so fluffy and clean. The location was great. The owner was helpful and gave me a good food recommendation too.

The place was in a great location. Very close to the main strip but on a quieter street. About a 7 minute walk to the beach. The host upgraded our room for free. We had access to a small shared kitchen including a fridge and freezer. The AC worked well. The host arranged an airport transfer for us at a better rate than what I found online. The host always responded to messages promptly.

It’s a little hard to find at first. Google maps brings you to the exact spot but the sign for the place is hidden in the trees across the street.

Big room, AC, lots of lights, clean bathroom. The staff are lovely and welcoming. Overall good value for money, especially for Sri Lanka.

We moved here from another property within Mirissa that wasn’t what it was advertised - the owner was able to accommodate us at short notice, great location walking distance to all of the main cafes/restaurants, near to our favourite (Junction Cafe and Gedara Curry). Really clean, excellent air con and quiet at night (road fairly busy until 7-8pm but not much after this) We booked into the budget double room which didn’t have a fridge, but staff were more than happy to let us use fridge over the road in the kitchen

There are a few reviews mentioning mosquitos - an unavoidable element of the location of this hostel with lovely nature on the property is that there are some mosquitos present outside - the room had a good mosquito net and they weren’t a problem.

Clean room with good A/C and mosquito net. Nice cupboard and a table in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The wash room was ok, well-kept but with some mosquitos (no net in the window). There is a kitchen with fridge, stove and a kettle. It is a good location, a bit remote, not at the loud main street, but still in a walking distance from the beach. Good price/worth ratio. Very nice and friendly owner and his brother who helps to run the place.

Not much really. Not so easy to see the sign from the street when you first arrive. There are mosquitos storming the wash room (please add a net in the window). The additional whale watching trip we bought was in an affordable price, but took too long and we didn't get to see any whales (just a few bottle-nose dolphins). In general we didn't like Mirissa that much (too touristic for our taste), which obviously is not host's fault.
