Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hickory

It was very clean and quiet. Front desk person was very nice

The room was nice and so was the bathroom. It was modern and had lots of plugs and sockets. It was clean. The pool area was clean. It was located near a waffle house and lots of other food places. It was convenient and nice. We even took a walk over the Hickory bridge, which is located super close.

When I arrived the computers were down. I already paid for my room before hand. He couldn't access my reservation. I am a black woman. When I was told I couldn't get a room because the computers were down. I let him know that I paid for my room and reservation. He said "well I'll have to do it another way". He wasn't happy about it. He changed the room I was supposed to go to because I had my children. I had to ask for towels to the pool and he tried to talk us out of getting in the pool. It was hot day. I was only given 3 towels even though it was 4 of us. The building was having repairs done or upgrading so the construction was loud. We enjoyed our time together as a family. But the microaggressions towards black people were loud and clear. At one point he told me that a staff person didn't speak English when I complimented her dress. Then she spoke very clear English to say thank you and had a small conversation.

This is the worse place we’ve ever experienced! So much so, we tried to cover nasty furniture with clean towels. In our opinion, this place should be shut down!

Staff is nice and professional. The room is quite spacious, bathroom is OK, the internet works well, and the breakfast is a typical "continental" one.

When making the reservation, I made a mistake with the dates, which I noticed right away and immediately called the hotel, asking to move the reservation by one day. However, they refused my request, claiming that the system didn’t allow it. I can't believe it wasn't possible to change the reservation and I ended up paying twice. The floor of the room was washed with some slippery and sticky substance, so it was very uncomfortable to walk on such a floor.

It’s was very nice outside nice walking path near by, front desk was friendly , bed was comfortable .

The wall needs some cleaning by the bed and the sink is not a varsity no where to set things . But other than that I thought it was good .

Room was great! We wished that they had a few more options for hot breakfast. Bed was great!
