THE " ONEX PARADISE " ELLA

The view from the terrasse is outstanding. You get the jungle with the mountains in the background. The owner is very kind and always available. The family room is convenient for a family with young children. All beds in the same room and it has a small fridge. We had breakfast booked with her. It was absolutely delicious with plenty of local fresh fruits.

I stayed for around 2 weeks. I work remotely and the WIFI is fabulous, it's fiber connection and it's super fast! Also, there's power plug in the balcony making work life easier. I love the tree view, and every morning you can wake up and see the sunrise right from the balcony (from your bed even). There are monkeys so don't leave your food and shoes in the balcony overnight. I didn't order breakfast but I had multiple dinners from the house, super tasty! There's a very nice restaurant nearby too - Bee honey cookery, next to the train station. They often come and clean the room / change bedsheets so the stay was pretty comfortable. The house family is very very nice but they also respect your personal space :) Night time is pretty cool so if you're afraid of heat that's a plus too. Walking to Ella town (from train track) is 20-25 mins, bit far but you also stay away from the crowd. :) Btw pick me is not available in this area so if you find trouble finding a reasonable price tuk tuk, contact the houseowner he can help to arrange.

The hot water system is a bit unstable. Not an issue overall, just need bit of time to wait and the temperature will cool down again. There's school nearby so sleep earlier and wake up with sunrise!

Fruta y pita

Wonderful location with fantastic views over hills and jungle from our balcony. Great for seeing birds and monkeys and glorious birdsong. Lulled to sleep by sound of cicadas and frogs. Comfortable beds with mosquito nets not that we were bothered by them (mosquitos!). Lovely welcome from owner and her family, and their sweet and very friendly dog….called ‘Doggie’. Delicious breakfast on our terrace with huge selection of fruit, bread, pancakes etc. The owner got a tuktuk for us to get to Ella and back for supper both nights. Great way to travel especially as lots of hairpin bends on track/road to Onex Paradise

Bathroom needed stool or small table to put things on rather than floor. slight water leak behind loo. We found shower floor slippery when wet….grab handle on wall would help. Otherwise no complaints.

Fantastic host, good quiet location just outside town but easy to get in and out (via tuk tuk, wouldn't walk it)

Las vistas son espectaculares, el personal muy amable. La habitación y el baño muy sencillos.

Very helpful and friendly owner. Great location with an amazing mountain view, indulged with nature. We can sit on the top roof and admire the beautiful scenic views. Most of the facilities are available. Very nice rooms. If I'm coming to Ella, I will definitely stay here again.
