Lowell Inn

The lovely Lowell Inn is an important part of the history of Stillwater which is a great town. The inn accommodated a reunion group of close to 40 people from all over the USA and did so in a most enjoyable manner. From having a breakfast meeting to hanging out in the large and comfortable lobby and then getting a quiet night's sleep, there were no complaints!

Rooms are very outdated and musty. Hall carpet is suspect. Smells very old. Most of the outlets didn’t work in our room in addition to the USB multiport charger on the nightstand. Front desk could have cared less. Paid $280 for one Friday night! Stay elsewhere!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here! Very quiet and clean. Loved the historic features but nicely updated. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay! Would be nice to have a refrigerator for beverages or leftover food. We brought a small cooler just to keep our drinks cold. Very nice hotel and we would stay again! Thanks Lowell!

The elevator wasn't functioning properly.

Very comfortable, very quiet, bonus vacay night for partner and I. Our only complaint was that the TV was very small and dated. We had no problem watching the football game, but would have enjoyed a newer TV model.

Great location and quant lobby area

Had to go Nextdoor to take the parking garage elevator to your floor. Glass windows on your room door and bright hallway lights on all night. Pillows were old and worn and hard. You had to step up to go into the bathroom which presented a risk of tripping in the nighttime. Mattress was lumpy and I was expecting much nicer room for the price.

The wife and I stayed at the Lowell Inn just a few days ago for a night. I must first start by stating that the two staff members the Inn's that we interacted with were both very polite and generous with their time, so that's certainly a plus. Tim the front desk clerk was quite accommodating and actually helped us with an alternate direction for getting onto the fourth floor of the parking garage. Also my wife and I had the fondue dinner there at the restaurant which was quite nice. The wait staff were all great so a big kudos to them we had a very nice time for dinner. Now on to the not so great aspects of the Inn. When we got there to check in they had both parking garage floor 2 and 3 blocked off which made it somewhat of a pain to get parked. Of course this is no fault of the Inn or its staff it just made it a bit frustrating but Tim helped out tremendously in that department. This is an historic hotel so it is an older establishment which my wife and I both greatly appreciate. The unfortunate thing about this hotel is that it is in definite need of some renovations to say the least. We were given room 303 which I understand is located in the new part of the hotel. When we walked into our room we were quite disappointed. The room was quite drab. We had a queen bed with plastic end tables. The balcony looked out onto a bunch of air conditioners so it wasn't as pleasant as we had hoped. At first the bed seemed pretty comfy. I sat on it and it seemed to be something like a memory foam type of mattress. Initially I thought it was pretty good but unfortunately that wore off after laying on it for sometime. I did wake up with a pretty stiff back the next morning. Also there is no coffee in the room but there is a coffee station on the 2nd floor in a commons area. We both feel that if some updates and renovations took place this could be a very lovely hotel once again.

The room was simple but very clean and the shower in the bathroom was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also loved the little balcony on our room to sit and drink our morning coffee which was complimentary and very good. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and the food was homemade and delicious. Location was ideal and everything we needed was in walking distance. We hope to go back again someday!
