The scuba diving and snorkeling was super easy and convenient. The food was great. Taxis into town were easy and cheap. The staff was great.

Our stay at Tranquilseas far exceeded our expectations. The staff were the friendliest, warmest, most welcoming people we have encountered. They felt like family by the end of our stay. From Delcie, Denry, David, Franklin, Samir in the restaurant / bar (who all always had such a ready smile and greeting for us) to Ellie, Chantel, Rudy and Emilio in the dive shop / dive boat, to Jan at the front desk - we could not have felt more welcomed. The hotel itself is nestled amongst the lush tropical greenery, away from the hustle and bustle and is so peaceful and relaxed. It is a short drive to West End / West Bay which are close enough to easily go experience (which we did several times), but also far enough away that you are removed from the noise and dust and crowds (easily accessible by taxi). The hotel bar and restaurant are situated so that they have fabulous views of the water and every meal was so full of flavor. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The water right off the dock is crystal clear and teeming with life - great for snorkeling. They have frequent (I think daily) dive trips that take you to see even more of the reef. The room was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. We will definitely be back!!

I love the overall landscape design, it felt very tropical, the greenery is absolutely beautiful. I also LOVED the room design, I know they've done some refurbishment lately and it really shows - the rooms are gorgeous! I also really enjoyed all the lounge space on the dock, there were cabana chairs, hammocks, beach chairs, etc. So many places to just kick up your feet, relax and enjoy the beautiful views! Also the on-site dive shop was particularly convenient for my partner who took advantage by taking multiple dives every day! Also we didn't know this at the time of booking, but breakfast was included which was a nice touch!

There wasn't anything about the hotel in particular that I didn't like. The only note is that you will have to take a taxi if you want to go to different bars/restaurants.

Tranquilseas is a wonderful small dive resort. The staff from the resort and dive center were very caring and attentive. Our room Tortuga, was clean and comfortable. Loved that we had a cold/hot water filter in our room. Restaurant food was very good, and the open menu included breakfast was excellent. Dive Center is steps from rooms and beach. We enjoyed our Dive Masters and in January we had only 2-6 divers on the boat which was so nice. We like things laid back and this resort really provided that relaxing, easy experience.

We spent the majority of our time on the property or diving with on-site shop. There wasn't much need to leave the property! The restaurant had a great view, good food and drinks, and friendly staff. The room was cleaned every day (we were in Eagle Ray) and the property was well maintained. The resort's private pier was a perfect spot to relax, swim and snorkel--and not crowded at all since there's only 9 rooms. What really blew us away, though, was the dive operation. Well run, and almost as easy as getting out of bed, climbing into a boat, and rolling into the ocean. We had so much fun diving every day, and we trusted them to handle our gear (they had a device to try our wetsuits, which was a bonus and made for easy packing at the end of the trip). When the weather got bad they moved their boat to the other side of the island, providing for really interesting variety. Highly recommend. We'll definitely return!

There's not much within walking distance. This didn't bother us because we were diving so much and liked the resort restaurant, and you can take a cab to nearby West End if you want to change things up (we actually walked to West End but it took longer than expected and wasn't very scenic). That said, the location makes for a peaceful and safe trip!

I can't recommend Tranquilseas enough. The entire staff was amazing and friendly, and having only 9 rooms at the resort, you really get to know and interact with them. The food and drinks were also very good - the breakfast smoothies and lemonades were great. The location is quiet and great for relaxing. The hotel has a recently renovated dock that is great for relaxing or snorkeling. It was very easy to get a taxi for a quick 5 minute drive to the West End. We were able to arrange pickup and drop-off at the airport through the hotel which made everything very easy.
