"Good stay"

One night stay for business. Hotel is quirky and a little dated but very good. Bill welcomed me to the hotel and explained everything, he even offered to make me a Bacon sandwich to take with me the following morning as i would have to leave for work before the breakfast hours. I would definitely stay again when nearby.

"Big disappointment"

4.0

On arrival we were able to park directly outside the property however there is a free car park opposite. We entered the room via the restaurant which was closed at the time of check in and was cold, dark and uninviting. We received a luke warm welcome from a member of staff and shown to our room. The room was described as one double and two single beds but it was actually one double, a single and a clapped out old sofa bed which wasnt prepped on arrival. The family room on the ground floor was very dated, carpets stained and had a general feel of uncleanliness. The room felt cold as there was only one small radiator working. The double bed was in a cramped spot because of a partitian wall which behind was found a small room with a sofa. This was directly in front of the window at the front of the property so when you sat there you felt very 'on show'. Reminded us of Amsterdam! On a positive note, there were a range of biscuits, sparkling water and a coffee machine. The bathroom was modern but the toilet seat was wonky and wobbly and the white towels all had orange stains. The extractor fan was caked in dust. The shower had a plumbing issue where the hot and cold were back to front. The sofa bed was made up promptly by the very pleasant owner when requested but this meant all of us sitting in bed to watch tv. We slept well and in the morning were the only ones at breakfast. Limited choice for vegans. I ordered poached eggs, they arrived fried! Disappointed for £160!

"Excellent breakfast"

We were on the first floor in an old room full of character. Not much room with one side of the double bed up against a fireplace with a tight space to get in and out. Large TV on the wall in this area also. Excellent breakfast with a varied menu.

Really quaint place and Bill is a really genuine guy who can tell you all the places you need to visit, the guest house is quite small and my room was too but in with the style of the whole town, the town itself is something special and an idea place to relax,

I booked the triple sunrise room which over looked the harbour which is also right in the centre of aberaeron. It was very spacious with a double bed in one room and single in an adjoining room. It also had a sofa in each room. It was fully stocked with all the amenities and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a full english breakfast both mornings and will be staying here on our next visit.
