Castlereagh Hotel

Small, basic but ok. Comfy bed, clean linen and towels. The door onto the verandah was a bonus. Took me back to last century and visits to country towns.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was so small and depressing. The bathroom was gross. I feel sorry fir the lovely staff. Can a pub ruin a roadt? The answer is yes. The chef must not like vegetables, they were cold and watery. Such a shame.

5 Stars all round, please understand you do need to rate based on what you pay. This was under $100 per night, at this rate all I expect is a room with a bed. So when you get TV, Bar Fridge, shared kitchen facilities, a downstairs restaurant and bar, free parking and the most helpful and friendly staff in the central west, the Castlereagh Hotel is an absolute banger. 110% Recomend

In Dubbo for touch state cup - we were in a twin room with shared bathroom. Comfortable bed, air-con and ceiling fan. Location - close to the carnival we were attending

The room smelt musty AF. The sink leaked leaving the carpet underneath soaked. The shared bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in years. A nice collection of dust and mould - hot tip, wear thongs in the shower to save on the tinea cream The ‘lounge/kitchen’ is having an identity crisis. The room has a TV, microwave, mini fridge and table/chairs and a kettle - no sink and no ‘lounge’. The music was loud on Saturday night, bit of floor vibrations. The meat raffle on Thursday night finished early, congrats to the winners. The mirror over the sink in room was positioned for a giant, had to stand on the bed to use it. Ordered take-away from the restaurant where my order was lost, after waiting nearly an hour our food was cold and the cheesecake tasted like it was made the previous year.
