Hotel Zand

An sich war es ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer war klein, relativ sauber und ruhig gelegen. Ein paar Zustände machen allerdings sehr stutzig. Der schlüssel hing im Schloss bei Ankunft, checkin war online. Beim Onlinecheckout sagt es man soll den Schlüssel an der Rezeption abgeben, welche allerdings nonexistent ist. Nach längerem Suchen und Fragen bei den Zimmernachbarn musste der Schlüssel dann beim Verlassen wieder im Schloss verbleiben. Am ersten Tag wurden pro person 2 Handtücher vergeben, + 1 Duschmatte. Am 2. Tag waren es nur noch die 4 Handtücher, am dritten Tag dann nur noch 1 Handtuch pro Person. Sehr wirr und keiner da um nach weitern Handtüchern oder sonstigen Angelegenheiten zu fragen. Es war ein Tresor im Raum, dieser allerdings verschlossen, und somit unbrauchbar.

Cutlery and pots and pans were missing. Mistery sock under the bed.

The room was great for 2 people. The bathroom and the room were clean. The location is great, also.

I liked the location the most. It was super close to the beach and the inner town of Zandvoort. Definitely the reason I stayed here besides the reasonable price compared to other hotels in the area.

The "hotel" feels more like a hostel. Sure you got your own room and bathroom but when I compare it to e.g. A&O hostels, the cleanliness is similar. There was dark long hair laying on the bathroom floor and in the shower right after check-in. Obviously not properly cleaned. As other visitors, I also have to agree that the 2sqm bathroom layout is not the best. Especially brushing your teeth and washing the face is very challenging! Be careful, since there is no flush mirror on the wall but a big shelf with a mirrow over the sink. Surely it was possible but you come very very close to the sink and the wall to properly wash and brush yourself. If the hotel room and especially the bathroom were cleaned spot-on in the first place, it would'nt be gross but I would'nt want to stick my face as close to mediocrely cleaned equipment again. The hotel owner should replace this shelf with a simple mirrow and brief the staff on better cleaning. Furthermore on our 2nd day we took a little nap in the afternoon and someone banged something on the floor the level above our room. Eventually the main lamp on the ceiling went lose and fell approx. 50cm down, hanging just on the installation cables itself. It still worked but there was mortar all over the bed. We instantly informed the hotel owner about the issue and that we will leave the room now so he can fix it. Sadly the lamp wasn't fixed. The hotel owner just commented it with "that's crazy".

veel geld voor een accomodatie die dit niet waard is. gammele uitrusting, niet eens een bekertje aanwezig, zeer karig allemaal, vuile handdoekken , vieze vloer , wasbakkraan los en scheef. Echter het bed was wel prima in orde.
