Casa do Jardim

Very unique place with a lot of history and with cultural value. House is very big. Kitchen is great, well equipped and with many treats from the owners (fresh bread, coffee, milk, canned fish, a bottle of wine and much more). My favorite part was the yard with nice area to rest. Owners were really kind. I was also happy to discover Silves.

As it's a historical house there is no AC and even though outside it was fresh at home it was still hot. Also some rooms are without windows so it's hard to refresh them. The apartment is on the ground floor so opening windows that were facing the street felt not safe or at least uncomfortable since every person passing by could look inside. Personally, I also feel better in modern, minimalistic interiors as they seem more clean and tidy so sometimes I felt overwhelmed by the number of decorations and elements everywhere. However, I must admit that I was surprised that everything was clean as it must take a lot of time to keep it this way. Overall it was interesting and positive experience.

We loved absolutely everything! It’s a beautiful spacious and comfortable house full of lovely details. It has all the amenities one needs and more. The owners were lovely and great with communication. It’s also greatly located in a really nice town. We hope we can come back someday!

Everything we wanted all on one level - amazing interesting historical furnishings and items - within easy walking distance to central Silves.

There was nothing we did not like.

They where waiting for me. Although I was late. What is not to love about this place. The whole house is filled with details and love. If you like new, don’t go there. If you like authentic, this is heaven.

The house is absolutely lovely, full of details and lovely cozy spots to sit back and relax. We loved the old record player, it just made us stop time and enjoy the moment. Even if you’re with 5, everyone can find their own individual place to relax after a day out if desired. And you might not even want to go out in this lovely place! Rosario did absolutely everything to help us with any question we had. Best host ever!
