Ultimate Provence Hotel & Spa Golfe de Saint Tropez

The location is superb and a lot of effort and investment are given to keep it as beautiful as it is. We stayed in a classic double room, a bit small but handy. All amenities are at your disposal. A plus point for the mattress, sooo comfy!! Unfortunately the dinner was poor and pretty disappointing. The staff on the premises were very nice and gave their best. Not the same can be said about the event/marketing department. A real nightmare if you plan to book an event.

This hotel does not make sense. To start with something nice: it’s very instagrammable. Meaning that the architect, designers and contractors did a good job. It looks great. But it does not feel like a hotel in this price category. Why? The service comes across as amateurish. For instance, room service did not fill up the coffee. Or service in the restaurant is stiff (as opposed to relaxed and personal, while still quick). Service at the pool is more like in a 2* hotel (no real bar, no snacks, not even a pastis you can order). Oh, and loud music until 11 or so does not feel like “ultimate Provence” to me, especially when you hear it in the room. On the bright side, there is quite some potential. All these things can be fixed. But management really has to rethink the entire concept before this flies.

Beautiful place in midst of a vineyard surrounded by the French countryside. The hotel has been completely refurbished and recently reopened for guests. The pool area is quiet and spacious, perfect for a relaxing day! The rooms are superb, modern in design and high quality in feel. Most rooms either have vineyard or courtyard view and a terrace. The restaurant / bar serves Asian/French fusion dishes, slightly upscale prices and their own wine (My tip: Ultimate Provence Rose). Service still needs to find their groove and the reception is not always staffed - other than that we enjoyed our stay very much and will be back!
