Joglo at Lata Lama

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything to make our stay memorable and comfortable. They were especially kind to our 14 month old - making sure he had fresh bananas to snack on (on top of the generous breakfast) and always trying to make him smile. They even brought supplies the night before so we could eat as soon as our baby woke. The villa and pool were spotless and cleaned daily. It felt like our second home.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Lata Lama. Loved all of the little touches, stylish decor and well equipped kitchen. Our hosts were lovely and organised a dolphin tour, bike hire and onward travel for us. Breakfast was great and they provided daily cleaning. Short walk to the beach.

The cottage was amazing.

The breakfast was make your own. Which was lovely really as the food was fresh. But I would have liked the option to not have to cook my own food in the morning as that was one reason why we were on holidays (a break from the daily grind back home).

It's 5-10 minutes walk from the beach where you can find nice beach restaurant. Staff of Lata Lama was great and friendly. They did provide breakfast that good including fresh eggs (you cook them yourself). They provided cleaning every day. There is possibility to order massage to the house for good price (however they do it on the bed and that is not too comfortable). Swimming pool is quite big and we enjoyed it.

Honestly this place looks better in the photos comparing to real life. It's quite outdated. If you are looking for some basic comfort it might be difficult for you here. Definitely not suitable for family with very small kids due to stairs everywhere (not much but those who have kids will understand me). There is no sound isolation at all, so you will hear everything. Hard to sleep if you are light sleeper. There is also no space at all for your luggage so we just kept everything in the bathroom. They did provide baby cot for extra charge but... there was no mattress there. Overall it's a good place but don't expect too much. Also it's quite far from Lovina main beach (30 minutes walking).
