Stayed here with Marine friends while we were biking the Ohio to Erie Trail. The place was clean and comfortable, offering a good spot to rest after a long ride. It was located a few miles off the trail, but Google Maps helped us find it. Louie greeted us upon arrival and provided a cold Gatorade for each of us. He secured our bikes for the night, and then oriented on his house and the three bedrooms we used. The house interior was quite interesting and Louie shared many stories about the house. He also provided recommendations for local food within easy walking distance.

The continental breakfast was OK, but unlike most cooked breakfasts many B&Bs offer. We were surprised to find that coffee wasn’t included—something we typically expect at a B&B. The listing indicated coffee makers in the room, but we didn’t find any.

I really like the location and the flexibility the host offers. Very relaxing vibe is what I need when I’m off of work, this place was awesome!

A local man rented out rooms in his house and called it a 'hotel’ allowing guests to stay with him. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a cold and impatient attitude. The atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable. I would advise avoiding this place. You can open his fridge and pick up what you want to cook or eat.

Cool 🏡homestay in an authentic Akron home! 🇺🇸 Lots of history, would definitely recommend this BnB to fellow travellers who are interested in a unique experience! 🫶

Location was easy to find

This listing is not accurate. There are extra charges for coffee/tea and the hot tub. Breakfast is granola bars. We left after feeling uncomfortable with the owner and finding out all the extra charges. We booked the room specifically for the hot tub just to find out he wanted $35/hour. When we said the listing did not disclose this, he argued with us. You have to share a bathroom with him. So there is all his toiletries in the shower. I would not reccomendend this place to anyone. It's a guy renting out bedrooms, not a true bed &breakfast he claims to be. The hospitality is just not there.

Louie's property is a wonderful place to spend a night or two when in the Akron area. He is extremely proactive with communication to see to the needs of his guests and has stocked the common areas of the house with items for use or purchase. The rooms are spotless, and Louie is extremely polite and informative with suggestions on dining and sightseeing. You can tell he takes pride in his business, and he should!
