Nice place, clean & comfortable. Everything worked and I received a first-floor room as requested. Some noise from the highway was discernible inside the room but was effectively filtered by the A/C unit on constant fan mode. Management was friendly and responsive to my preferences. I was too tired to explore the surrounding area but noticed an array of eating & shopping places the following morning. I would definitely stay at this motel again in the future.

Chose this hotel because I'd stayed here before, in late 2010's (2016 - 2018) while riding my bicycle from Ft. Wayne to Portland IN for a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) MobilePack at Jay County High School. Overall, a pleasant stay; however, the HVAC unit in my room 138 is due for repair or replacement! It made a horrible noise, to the point where I couldn't use it. (Something had gone wrong with the motor that runs the compressor and fan)

Ac needs to be replaced. Lack of dining around

We had some initial problems. Sink did not drain. Hair dryer didn't work. After talking to staff, both items were taken care of. We asked fork extra pillows and they were waiting for us the next night. Room had a distinct cigarette order that was slightly annoying. Price was good.

Good value. The coffee in the room is very good.

They tell you after you pay your money that the pool is closed and there is no breakfast because of Covid concerns. They should have the same notice before they take your money. The coffee in the lobby is not good.

There weren't any bugs in the room.

It's clean and has nice comfy beds. Good value.

Loud. Walls are thin so you could hear the couple next door talking. There was no ice or breakfast as advertised.

I chose this generally no frills place only because I wanted to swim in the morning after a run. However, the pool was not in use (see photo for how the pool really looks) and the cigarette butts speak for themselves (see photo). It's bad that people smoke and throw their butts on the ground. Still, owners should take pride in their property and sweep them up.
