Borkum Island is partially car free. Please note that the schedule for Borkum’s Island ferry is continually changing, as ferry-crossing times are dependent on the tides. The travel time from Emden Ferry Port to Borkum Island is approximately 130 minutes, including a ride on the Island’s Inselbahn (train). Guests can leave their cars at Emden Ferry Port, which has a large car park. Guests intending to arrive outside reception hours are kindly asked to contact the hotel in advance. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the property. From November to February, breakfast can be organized upon advance request.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Great location, service and breakfast"

The hotel is ideally located if you arrive on Borkum by catamaran or ferry (it is adjacent to the shuttle railway station), a short walk from the beach and surrounded by the cafes, restaurants and bars of Borkum itself. If you have a taste for privately owned hotels with rather eccentric decor, this place will appeal. There’s a huge mural of the lighthouse on the first floor and the door to our room was in the middle of it. The room itself was spotless and spacious with a balcony overlooking the central square. It could have been improved by better quality toiletries as there was only a small bar of soap and two sachets of shower gel. Breakfast was very good indeed, with a wide range of hot and cold dishes. The manager speaks excellent English and is extremely helpful.

"Great stay"

Had a great time on Borkum and hotel was great. Centrally located, clean and great German style breakfast to get me going for the day! Would stay there again or recommend it. Location is great and although in town centre quite at night.
