Sheraton Ottawa Hotel

Location is awesome. Transportation is nearby, and it's within walking distance from many tourist places. The staff was great and welcoming.

The room was very old. AC was weak and noisy. The blackout window didn't block the streetlights from entering the room. Cleaning wasn't the best, considering that I found papers and candies on the bathroom floor under the sink.

The room was excellent, with a comfortable bed and a powerful air conditioning system that kept the room cool throughout the stay. The TV was modern and included access to Netflix, which was a nice touch. The elevators were also very fast, making it easy to move around the hotel. In addition, the front desk agent Mary who checked us in was professional, courteous, and welcoming.

There were a few disappointments. Unlike other Sheraton properties I have stayed at in different countries, the level of service felt limited. When we arrived late at night, there was no staff available to assist with our luggage. The only option provided was a luggage trolley for self-service. The same situation occurred at check-out, as there was no assistance available to help move our luggage to the car. The room lighting was also quite dim and relied heavily on table and floor lamps rather than stronger ceiling lighting. Another downside was the lack of basic amenities such as toothbrushes, shaving kits, and slippers. Additionally, housekeeping required notifying the front desk in advance to have the room cleaned.
