the Curtis Denver - A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

Water didn’t get hot, bathroom door doesn’t lock, our fridge didn’t work, our toilet stopped flushing, no full length mirror, and the coffee is pitiful. I feel scammed by this place the rooms were tiny, there was no other space to get ready except the bathroom, the hallways were narrow asf and elevator did what it wanted. I feel scammed. I’ve been to cheaper hotels that had way better service and amenities. This place is so overhyped. Look elsewhere.

This hotel is billed as being eclectic. Basically that means they visited the kids ministry of a local church and extended the theming to the hallways and rooms of this hotel. Prepare to feel like you are in a local preschool. The rooms are small, bathrooms are motel quality with guests throughout complaining of no hot water. The elevators are a mess and often take 5+ minutes to arrive. Once inside, the elevator stops at almost every floor. The hotel has added an "Amenity Fee." Basically they charge you $25 a day for the free WIFI you already received. The free cookies you already received. Bottle water, that most hilton honors already received. And the option of 2 glasses of lemonade a day. This is just a way to advertise rooms at a lower cost and collect more at check in. We will be skipping this hotel in the future and find one that delivers the value we expect from a Double Tree level property.

The staff is ALWAYS top notch. The floor themes are cool.

The elevators are horrible.

Absolutely abysmal. This place should be shut down for safety violations. It's essentially uninhabitable w having no hot water. How this has 4 stars is beyond me. It's worse than any motel 6 I have been to. After having no hot water, and then ALL water turned off for several hours, my wife went to the front desk and they couldn't offer us anything last a free water bottle. Then she tried to go back to the room, and got TRAPPED in the elevator. The fire department had to come out to release her. This has happened 3 times in the last week alone. I called and spoke the the fire chief directly. The call button in the elevator also didn't work so if my Wife didn't have her cell phone she could have been trapped for hours. Place needs to be shut down ASAP. I'll be reversing the charges on my credit card

The Curtis Hotel in Denver, CO is a great place for a convention. It is located right in downtown Denver, and has several meeting rooms and a big ballroom. The guest rooms are clean and comfortable. Many restaurants are within walking distance, including the hotel’s own Corner Office restaurant. The performing arts center is across the street. The state capital is a few blocks away. The only thing we did not like was the slow elevator. The stairways were not easy to access. But we still had a great convention.

The hotel is uniquely decorated, very quiet, and conveniently located downtown.

The parking gates frequently failed to recognize the key cards for entrance/exit, requiring a call to the front desk each time. The elevators all work in separate call buttons, which means you have to push all three or fight with everyone who hasn't figured it out yet to ride the first, single elevator. Then, if you do push all three, you get on the first elevator to arrive and leave people riding the other three elevators to stop on your floor.
