Shalimar Hotel of Las Vegas

Bad smoky smell in the corridor. AC is not working and no enough towels and matts in the washroom.

The staff was quick with requests and accommodating when we needed to add an extra stay. They well informed me of the policies so there was no confusion. Great bang for buck! Hotel was inexpensive and walking distance to great Vegas life! Great stay for EDC!

Noisy

Everything was fine. All the workers are super nice and helpful, even came to my room and fixed the tv. The pool was super clean but I didn’t use.

The ac is very loud.

Location is convenient

The only reason we booked a single night here was because the hotel/motel was close to the strip

First of all, the property feels and smells old. It could use an overall improvement. We were told there was cable TV, but only four channels seemed to work. We called the front desk and sent two workers who had no idea why this might happen. It is very disappointing as TV is a massive source of entertainment when indoors. The 2nd issue was the room's AC unit, which was as loud as a diesel truck regardless of the setting, and the small refrigerator kept making this popping noise every 10-15 minutes. Overall, it was not a good night; we could not sleep, either too hot or too cold. On our next visit to Las Vegas, we will pay double the price for a decent night. As the saying goes, “You get what you paid for!”

The surrounding area is vey shady, a lot of activity that made it seem unsafe. The staff was super nice and very accommodating.
