Courtyard by Marriott Scranton Montage Mountain

The location was good. Near restaurants and convenient stores.

My stay was a horrible experience. I was double charged for my room (still waiting for the CR), the person that checked me didn’t seem to know what she was doing. The room key system was down. To be fair they let us know in advance but it would have been an inconvenience to move to a different hotel. They offered free breakfast but the kitchen was down the entire time we were there because they had no staff. Be aware. “Free breakfast” means $10 dollars towards it, you pay the rest. The coffee was awful.

Nothing. We ended up at another hotel.

Staff was very dismissive and rude at the front desk. We were told we couldn’t check in until the 4pm check in time due to them giving us a joining rooms that we never requested. When asked to not have them joint we were told there were no other options and she couldn’t even be bothered to see if they could give us 2 separate rooms. We were yelled at and given a very hostile response to our questions.

The server at the bistro was amazing she is the only good thing about our stay.

When we arrived there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Our sinks had fruit flies coming out of them. Our room had ants in it. I was ignored by housekeeping twice for extra towels and toilet paper. The pool was shut down. There was construction going on outside. My fiancé works overnights and could not get any sleep during the day due to the noise of the construction. I’m assuming they’re building a new hotel next-door because this one was very outdated and not getting much attention. There was no ice machine on our floor. Internet kept disconnecting.

The staff was friendly.

The tub didn't drain properly.

Nice welcoming outdoor gas fireplace; friendly staff.

A bit overpriced.
