Das Hotel liegt optimal, nur zwei Blocks von der Foggy Bottom-Metrostation entfernt, von wo man direkt ohne Umsteigen zu beiden Airports kommt. Auch zu Fuß kommt man überall schnell hin (10 Min zum Potomac, 15 Min zum Lincoln Memorial, 20 Min zum Weißen Haus). Die Zimmer sind geräumig und ruhig, mit Küchenzeile, großem Bad und allem drum und dran. Die Betten waren sehr konfortabel. Das Frühstück ist üppig und vielseitig (auch für Vegetarier!), ein klarer Pluspunkt!

Achtung Falle: Das Hotel hat eine Vorautorisierung auf der Kreditkarte in Höhe der Gesamtkosten des Aufenthalts gemacht - obwohl das Hotel schon vorab via Booking bezahlt war. Zudem stellte es Zusatzkosten für die 5. und 6. Person in Rechnung, obwohl das Zimmer für 6 Personen gebucht und bezahlt war. Ebenso berechnete es die Benutzung des ausziehbaren Sofas extra. Diese Zusatzkosten wurden im Moment der Buchung über Booking nicht kommuniziert, sondern erst am Tag vor der Anreise und machten den Aufenthalt um 25% teurer. Für eine 6-köpfige Familie war das Hotel damit im Vergleich mit anderen Hotels weit weniger günstig als über Booking suggeriert!!!

The Foggy Bottom area is nice to stay in, and the Metro was only 4 minutes walk away. The beds and pillows were pretty stiff and dated, but everything was clean. The complimentary breakfast was great! There were lots of hot options and they changed things up every day. I recommend using spot hero to find parking offsite, as we were able to pay around $40 a day versus the $60 a day that the hotel charges.
