Arrowwood Resort Hotel and Conference Center, Alexandria

The 'high-class' feel.

For a high class club/ hotel, you'd think the hotel would have some fancy super soft pillow top mattresses, nah. I'd rather sleep on the floor, coming from someone who likes firm.. also the end tables in the room were dusty. The floor we were on hadn't had the light bulbs updated since the 80s, it was just dark and old. The lobby and common areas are gorgeous. My expectations were higher

Location as I attended a seminar and restaurant and lodging and seminar all in one building.

Took a long time for water to get hot.

We had breakfast with my cousin and her husband, it was very nice we were the only four customers in the restaurant and we able to talk freely about family matters. The two staff on duty were very attentive and the food was just fine.

It was comfortable and clean, and the views were beautiful! The outdoor activities were fun for my kids.

The waterpark is a separate charge, and it was in VERY poor shape! Your feet get cut up on the pool bottom from chipping paint and rust. There was plywood and tarps holding up and covering spots that were caving in by the lazy river. It is absolutely insane to charge people for the waterpark who are staying at the hotel, especially given the declining state the park is in! It is a liability waiting to happen. This does not reflect what their website portrays the waterpark as.

The hallway to our room (the last on the end) felt like a mile and a half away. With it being one long hallway, it makes for a VERY long walk to the front desk, restaurant, or conference center.
