Red Lion Hotel Eureka

The family suite had 3 beds. Free coffee at all times. Fridge & microwave were convenient. Comfortable beds. Close proximity to Target.

Shady location...homeless population living close by &lingering in & around the hotels large parking lot. Difficult to access family suite if physically challenged. Leaking ceiling with bucket outside our door, leaking toilet, clear water damage in the walls, issues with hot water, musty smell, poor circulation, mold in bathtub, no bathroom exhaust fan, no bathmat, outdated & worn out furniture, carpet & curtains, broken ice machines, spotted a few ants & fruit flys. This place is in need of a major renovation, deep cleaning & maintenance repairs. A little TLC could help. The room fee was too pricey for what we got.

Nice place to pass thru but no healthy foods

We opted for a two room suite for 2 couples traveling together. The y room we were given was terrible. (First floor- 158) the second bedroom had no windows and the whole room smelled of old smoke. They were able to move us to another which was better- but the room was really expensive for basic accommodations.

Very unhappy 2 days cold showers floor was filthy drapes didn’t close right and coffee maker broke

Wasn’t expecting much, but was overly disappointed by our short visit. Arrived late after driving for over 10 hours. Waited in line for checkin for over 30 min with 2 people in front of us. Got to our room. Nothing special, but hair in shower and on sink, floor felt dirty too. Tried to take a shower but no hot water would come on. Tried for 10 minutes then called front desk. Told to keep trying, needed to heat up on demand system. Offered to change rooms but it was 1 am, no more suites available like our room and we had people sleeping already, so switching rooms wasn’t an option. Tried again and still no hot water. Had to shower in frozen cold water. Did no receive a discount or anything. Horrible stay for an 8 hour sleep. We checked in and out in 8 hours. Will not be staying at a Red Lion Inn again.

The staff

The staff were very nice and tried to accommodate us the best they could. That being said. When we first walked in the hotel it smelled moldy. I had booked 2 bedroom large suite, with 3 beds. There were 5 of us. I had also made sure the hotel had an elevator, because I have trouble walking and managing stairs. The room they gave was downstairs in the basement at the furthest corner of the hotel. Needless to say it was a long walk and hard to get our luggage down the stairs. The room was at the end of the hall, and the ceiling at the end of the hall was leaking and they had buckets out catching water. Although it was not raining. The room was dirty and the bathroom smelled like urine. The toilet was leaking water on the floor, and the room smelled of mildew really bad! Out side the bedroom window was a homeless man sleeping. The extra security devise they must on the sliding door was broken. The walls of the room were peeling. So, we asked for a different room, but because we had booked through booking.com we could not get a refund to go to another hotel or apply the money we had already paid for the room to another room. Finally, after talking to the manager. He said he could give us a smaller suite. With two bed instead of three. It was on the main floor so we took it. The second room smelled a lot better and was cleaner than the last. However the hot water in the room would not get hot. After running the water for 30 plus minutes. We were able to get Luke warm water to shower quickly in. The breakfast consisted of cold cereal, toast, muffins and bagels.
